The three traditional colors of  most Christmas decoration are RED, which symbolizes the blood red of Christ, GREEN symbolizes life and rebirth and GOLD represents light, royalty and wealth.

Tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany and was once made of Real Silver

4. Spiders and Christmas ! 

In Poland, Spiders are considered to be  symbols of prosperity and goodness in Christmas . In-fact Spiders and Spider webs are often used as Christmas tree decorations. According to legend, a spider wove baby Jesus a blanket to keep him warm.

Norwegians believe that Christmas Eve coincides with the arrival of Evil Spirit therefore households will hide all theirs brooms before they go to bed.

The Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro has lights up its traditional floating Christmas tree, one of the biggest of its kind in the world 278 feet tall ,with musical shows and fireworks, marking the beginning of the December festivities.
